This family of equalisers are primarily aimed at tailoring the essentially flat output from a driver amplifier to drive a Travelling Wave Tube (TWT).

A typical broadband TWT, for optimal performance, requires its input drive level to slowly vary across up to a 3:1 bandwidth by 20dB. These passive equalisers can have either a symmetrical frequency response or a skewed asymmetrical frequency response.
They have excellent input and output match and are produced in a small, lightweight housing with SMA connectors. Depending on the exact requirements, they can handle up to 2W (+33dBm) input drive level.
