High Power Microwave Amplifiers
Diamond Microwave’s heritage comes from compact High-Power, Microwave Solid-State Power Amplifiers (SSPA). Our SSPA offer a power-to-volume ratio which we believe to be among the highest in the microwave industry for such products.
These amplifiers can be combined to provide substantially higher output powers and can be integrated into 19-inch racking with heatsink, interfaces and fans as required.
Our proven range of SSPA includes pulsed and CW high-power microwave amplifiers with power output ranging from 100W to 1kW and operating in specific frequency bands between 2GHz and 18GHz. These multi-stage, balanced amplifiers, employ gallium nitride (GaN) transistor technology and are compact, robust & reliable, engineered for use in demanding environments with sealing up to IP67. Thermal monitoring and internal digital phase adjustment (for external combining) is standard on all amplifiers and I2C is used to align and monitor internal electronic settings. Our standard products are drain pulsed with fast switching times, offering extremely low inter-pulse noise.
